13 Honouring and Preserving the Vedic Tradition of Nepal T he Nepal Maharishi Foundation for Vedic Culture, incor- porated under Nepal’s Companies Act (2006), is a not for profit company. The Foundation’s Chairman, Mr. Deepak Baskota, is former State Minister for Home Affairs and Founder of the Cooperative Movement in Nepal. Mr. Baskota has held numerous positions throughout his career to bring positive change and a better quality of life to the people of Nepal. Now Mr. Baskota has dedicated himself full-time to insuring that Nepal’s Vedic heritage is not only secured, but is expanding and prospering through the revival of the Yoga and Yagya programmes by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Mr. Baskota’s Management Team and Advisory Board are working to fulfil the goals of the Foundation.
