Nepal Maharishi Foundation for Vedic Culture 4 T he Nepal Maharishi Foundation for Vedic Culture (NMFVC) is seeking funding to implement a tested and effective programme to preserve and strengthen the precious Vedic way of life in the Pandit schools (Gurukuls) of Nepal. This target can be easily achieved by adding a specialized but practical Vedic educational programme to the daily routine of the existing Gurukuls throughout Nepal. This new programme has already been implemented in 56 out of the approximate 500 Gurkuls in Nepal with such a high degree of success that each day more Gurukul leaders are asking to add the NMFVC’s pro- grammes to their existing Gurukul routine. To fulfil the requests of the Gurukul leaders and ensure a bright future for the Gurukuls and an ideal Vedic way of life, more funding is needed. This funding will be used to enhance the training of the Acharyas and Pandits thereby developing their full potential and enhancing the effectiveness of their daily performances of Yagyas and Anushthan. By December 2017, the NMFVC plan is to have 100 Gurukuls operating with these new Vedic educational programmes and upgraded standards. In brief, the funding needs are to add 4-5 Gurukuls per month (average 50 students per Gurukul) at 100,000 Rs. (approx. US$1,000) per Gurukul per month: 100 Gurukuls (5,000 students) by December 2017 Fund raising Goal: 120 million Rs. or $1.2 million PROJECT OVERVIEW
